The Creative Teen Showcase will highlight the talents and career aspirations of 12 student interns who have participated in the Teen Construction + Design Institute or Teen Fashion + Beauty Institute.
We invite you to celebrate them and learn about their future career and entrepreneurial ventures.
Event Schedule
3:00 pm-4:00pm: VENDOR FAIR + NETWORKING- During this time student interns will showcase the work they completed during the internships and some will sell products they've created. Come ready to shop with them!
4:00pm-5:20pm: STUDENT INTERN PRESENTATIONS + ACKNOWLEGEMENTS- During this time student interns will share their industry talents and career aspirations. Attendees will have the opportunity to show their support, hear youth voice and uplift the faces of the future.
5:20pm-6:00pm: ACKNOWLEGEMENTS + VENDOR FAIR PART TWO-At this time each student intern will be recognized for their completion of the program, additionally guests will have the another opportunity to visit student intern vending tables.
Hors d’Oeuvres and beverages will be available.
The Institutes are 8 month paid internship programs that allow teens to access industry specific career mentorship focused on supporting them with enhancing their confidence, knowledge about business operations, developing a personal brand and working in collaboration with industry peers and experts.
The Teen Construction + Design Institute and Teen Fashion + Beauty Institute are made possible through the partnership and support of NYSED grant, Carl E. Touhey Foundation, Albany County Youth Bureau and The Blake Annex Membership Fund.
